Aradia's powers/abilities

  • Maid of Time. Sburb/Sgrub grants its players each their own Class and Aspect, which interact in various ways to define their abilities. The specific abilities of the Maid class aren't well-defined, unfortunately, but there are some things we do know and some inferences we can draw. Confirmed abilities:
    • Traveling through time, obviously. This is an ability common to all Time players.
    • Her intuitive understanding of Time allows her to navigate the twisted pathways of the Furthest Ring, where space is warped and time is bendable.
    • Freezing time locally, even on the most powerful enemies; specifically, Bec Noir and Lord English. LE was able to break out of her spell, but only because he's 1) monstrously OP and 2) a god-tier Time player himself.
    • Taking advantage of split-second opportunities (e.g. jumping through Bec Noir before he could show her his stabs).
Based on her own actions in combat and what we've seen Jane (another Maid) do, it's safe to assume that Maid is a spellcasting class, but focused principally on support - both Maids use their melee weapons rather than class abilities when they go on the offense. Within that framework, though, Aradia's control of Time is limited only by her imagination. Other potential applications include:
    • Travel really quickly, either by making the journey normally and then traveling to the desired arrival time, or by accelerating her personal time scale to cover distances in an extremely short time (relative to an outside observer)
    • Absurdly precise internal clock
    • Sense time distortions and/or the entities causing them
    • Reverse time locally on inanimate objects to return them to a former state or position
    • Reverse time locally on a person to "undo" a mortal wound, bringing them back to life
NOTE: Maids are a support class, but not optimized for healing, so if I did allow her to do this, I'd give her the same limitation Jane has - only one revive allowed per customer, period, ever. Plus she's never done it in canon, so she'd have no memories that directly imply it's possible.
    • Fraymotifs (combo moves, basically). In Sburb/Sgrub, players can purchase these moves to combine their classpect abilities with one or more other players, and achieve effects that are more than the sum of their parts. They're one of the least fleshed-out mechanics of the game, but Aradia claims all the trolls had the deadliest fraym0tifs b00nd0llars c0uld buy, and appears to briefly use one in [S] Collide.
Actually, it's possible that this is actually where a Maid would shine the most, given the class's apparent emphasis on support. There's a lot of ways you could get creative combining Time with other aspects.

  • God Tier. Also a Sgrub-granted ability. Aradia has ascended into godhood, which coincidentally is also what the accompanying outfit is called. This grants her:
    • Sparkly red butterfly wings! These can be hidden under normal clothes, and allow her to fly.
    • Conditional immortality. A god tier player can only die if killed, and if their death isn't Heroic or Just, they'll auto-revive within minutes. What constitutes Heroism or Justice is judged on a case-by-case basis by powers unknown but possibly embodied by a magical grandfather clock (because Homestuck I guess).
    • Magical god-tier pajamas. They are not only stylish, but also self-cleaning and comfy as fuck.

  • Telekinesis. A psychic ability Aradia has had probably since she hatched. It's powerful enough to lift and carry multiple tons, but also precise enough to do things like flip a light switch or write a hovering message in globs of somebody else's blood. She doesn't need to have line-of-sight with what she's manipulating.

  • Ghost Communion. Ever since she was little, she's been able to see, hear, and (to an extent) command the spirits of the dead. She can also use this ability to make the ghosts visible to people who wouldn't ordinarily be able to perceive them. She got even better at this after she became a ghost herself (can't imagine why).
